16 Central Coast examples to help you begin comparing living and care choices. Start with the kind of help or home you want.
Coast Living Guide · Updated 27 October 2026 · Source-check dates shown below
A starting selection to help you make your own shortlist. These are profiles of sites and services; some operators offer more than one kind of living or care. Each profile links to public information and shows when it was checked. We have not inspected these services or confirmed current availability, individual suitability or a partnership. Check the proposed agreement and current written quote with the provider.
An ordinary smaller home is an option too.
You may prefer to stay where you are with extra help, or buy or rent an ordinary villa, unit or smaller house. A retirement community is one choice, not a required next step. For a strata purchase, compare levies, by-laws, building condition and planned works as well as the purchase price. Have the title and contract explained; an “over-55s” label alone does not tell you which legal rules apply.

Ask for a current written quote for the home, room or visits you would actually use. A retirement-village entry payment, residential-care accommodation payment and home-care service price describe different things. Keep them separate when you compare.
Ask each organisation for a current written answer to the same questions. Record the source and date, keep different legal and care categories visible, and leave a blank where something is unknown. For residential aged care, use My Aged Care’s official search to check current provider information and Star Ratings alongside your own questions.
The linked organisations can confirm their own services and terms. A listing does not establish a referral arrangement. Any commercial relationship relevant to a requested introduction will be explained before you proceed.
